The next biggest complaint is that they haven't changed.
People Are Who They Are
People show us who they are, usually very early in the relationship. I never quite understand the person who complains about being miserably married to a workaholic, a liar, a slob, a control freak, etc., etc., and then admits that this person was always this way, even before they married.

Bad Flowers
One afternoon last week, I noticed a box of flowers on the front porch. It was the standard box used by a well-known flower company. I wasn't sure how long it had been there (unfortunately the delivery drivers in this neighborhood have a habit of dumping packages on the porch without ringing the bell), but it was probably no more than a couple of hours.
